Operations Lead

We are looking for a smart, passionate, enthusiastic and creative individual who has a drive to succeed and is excited about customer service, experienced in retail operations and sales, and talented in interior design.

As our Operations Lead working directly for the Owners, your mission will be to execute programs and processes that drive business results, create an environment within our store that serves a premium consumer experience, and front line delivery of a premium employee experience. You will serve as a leader, mentor, supervisor, and coach to all salary and hourly personnel.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Performance of a single small to medium volume store, including but not limited to: merchandising, operations, purchasing and receiving, inventory management, staffing, supervision, training and development, loss prevention, and ensuring adherence to company guidelines and policies.
- Manage store operations and store environment to achieve sales, service, organization, customer satisfaction and profitability goals and maintain operational standards.
- Develop and maintain a focused organization dedicated to meeting Company performance objectives.
- Train, manage and develop in-store talent; conduct employee coaching and counseling.
- Create an environment that activates the customer’s desire to buy and in doing so creates and sustains customer loyalty.
- Create and execute enhanced operating actions / models to improve profitability through improved sales, training, management techniques, and operating controls.
- Execute strategies to maximize role of store within the market region driving sales and maintaining profitability.
- Effectively manage performance and corrective action processes; execute change management and lead performance improvement initiatives.

Must-have Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree and 6 years retail experience, or 7 years experience in lieu of a degree, in the home furnishings and interior design industry.
- Minimum of 4 years retail management experience including supervision of direct reports.
- Proven experience with retail and design operations, budgeting, planning, task and project management, customer service, sales, and people leadership and management.
- Expertise in delivering a high level of customer service in a brand retailer; experience in and ability to execute CRM policies and programs.
- High proficiency in planning, task and project management, and organizational skills.
- Proven sales success in the home furnishings and interior design industry.
- Demonstrated ability to build, lead and manage high-performing teams in a retail environment for the achievement of sales objectives and Company goals and policies.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, web-based applications, and retail business systems.
- High proficiency in oral and written communication in English—spelling, sentence structure, punctuation, and thought organization in a written document.
- Ability to communicate in Spanish (desired)
- Ability to work weekends, evenings and holidays as needed
